Shree Gurung is a policy advocate, and an entrepreneur committed to advancing economic reform for national self-reliance in Nepal. With a multidisciplinary background spanning media, entrepreneurship, and public service, Gurung has led and contributed to several initiatives that bridge innovation with social impact. He is the founder of World Vlog Challenge, a global media platform leveraging digital storytelling to raise awareness on climate change, and has been actively involved in promoting Nepal’s creative and tourism industries on the international stage. Gurung’s public service contributions include leadership roles in urban development initiatives such as the Durbar Marg solar-powered street lighting during a critical energy crisis period (2014). He is also the founder of Clothing Bank Nepal, a social initiative focused on supporting underserved communities through resource redistribution.

As a policy thinker, he advocates for investment-led growth, job creation, and structural reforms to position Nepal as a competitive regional economy. His vision of Atmanirbhar Nepal emphasizes harnessing the country’s natural resources, human capital, and historical resources to drive sustainable development and reduce youth migration.
